The calendar pages are still going through some Beta testing for this site,
But will probably work out nicely...
The following advice may help you navigate the calendar page better.
The "Pad calendar" page link is for the other calendar that was tried out...
It's a good looking and flexible program, but it's cost is way too high.
The link is left there just for comparison, no data will be added to that one.
1
Sign into your Microsoft account for best viewing.
(Live mail/Outlook/Bing/etc, any of their formats will do)
Note:
View (day/week/month) is on the upper right away from the other tabs.
Advancing the months can be done by scrolling or tabs near the month.
You can still view the calendar even if you don't don't have an MS account.
But any navigation other than simple scrolling gets difficult and frustrating.
If the window gets locked, just "x" out of it, and re-
Or you can just log in, be much happier for it.
Plus then you can subscribe to the calendar and have future updates.
2
List your events on the calendar!
Everyone's encouraged to participate and let us all know what's going on!
Even if we're too far away to join in!
It's fun knowing what we're all doing, and this can help us all see that.
Use the form on right to describe the event, and it'll be added.
Listings can be linked to a webpage with pictures to acompany a storyline.
All need approval, so there's no spammy stuff added, but will post shortly.
The calendar isn't very forgiving to errors, and info is difficult to delete.
So please be accurate the first time.

Notice that the calendar boasts an https url.
For those that don't know the significance of https, as opposed to http...
That little "s" means that it's on a "Secure" site-
Hopefully the info posted there stays that way...Secure.
The down-
When clicked, it takes a few more seconds to display than standard sites.
Https security is still an added bonus to the calendar even with a delay!

You can subscribe for automatic updates.
If you have Outlook, click on "Subscribe to this calendar" for updates.
Or click the RSS tab for it's web link to add to wherever your feeds go to.
You'll get fast updates and be made aware when something's added.
It's an excellent way to keep track and not be left out.
Even if no one adds anything for months!!-

The website and calendar are growing!
Time is made for site improvements, and both make advancements daily!
Come by often. You'll see new pages added, and previous ones improved.
Take a look around, and see it for yourself! The growth is fantastic!
Any suggestions you have for site improvement will be taken well, thanks!
Footnotes....
There's a thought brewing about using this calendar (Or a similar one on another page) as a geneology calendar...
People can list forefathers birthdays, deathdays, marriage anniversarys, etc, and it could be a one page calendar of important events info gathering for all to use and copy to their own geneology software programs....
A persons birthday really would be enough, as it can be linked to any page telling about that person.
But if the birthdate isn't known, another verified event date can be used instead.
Since the calendar settings can be as recurring annually for an event like that, it seems possible that many persons info links can be found daily by anyone interested in doing a family tree, and they would know they have extensive information all linked within the very certain bounds of a one year timespan.
Food for thought anyway...
