Innovative Data Collection!
Manhours are a part of any endeavor. "X" amount are put in, but productivity is a different matter.
Like expendatures, whether household or business, we want "The most bang for the buck"!
Selecting the most important work, and doing it effectively is what creates that bang.
How Do We Do That?
Since more data and family cells are important to the tree, how do we add "more cells per hour"?
Many people want names, which is the single most important factor toward gaining more data.
More names = more data. Simple, right? Anyone can understand that concept.
The standard "rookie" builds their tree following each grandfather to a previous father.
Understandably, this is what we all do for the first several generations in finding names or data.
But beyond those easy few historical figures, lies a different world, where no one alive remembers.
These are the areas that people search within records because the involved have all passed away.
Most people stick with what they know...Following fatherly figures until they reach a "dead end".
Instead, we have adopted the method of following the mother-
The primary reason is the total efficiency of it. So the manhour equation is a bit different.
Most people build a family tree for their own use, while this one is for many peoples use.
Much like the days of old with dial-
Because they could scan a document instead of typing it all out and save a lot of time.
The upside... It was/is a fast and efficient way for them to put their page on the internet.
Downside... Not one word on it searchable, and every user looking at it had a slow loading time.
Worked great for the one person uploading, yet horribly slow for the hundreds trying to see the data.
How does this relate?
By giving the daughters name, we then reasonably guess the father is of that name.
While it's easy to say "List them both", that's true! But again, manhours have limitations.
Eventually, all ancetors will hopefully be listed, but let's all get "the most bang for the buck".
This method provides more clues for more people, and does it faster than the standard method.
While here it's like "Backing up to the left", for you it'll make searching so much wider and faster.
More people, more data, faster clues.
Sidenote:
All persons data within the tree are collected and gaged individually.
These are not the mega-
Our expierience here has found that those files are overloaded with inaccurate data.
This is an unacceptable practice that should be avoided, and the standard has been raised.
