Staying Relevant...
New ideas pop up all the time.
Many are good ideas and well within the realm of a genealogy website.
However, there's more than enough to do with the existing website and adding to the tree.
Is That The Same As Stagnating?
Absolutely not!
Quite contrary, it means the focus is on the betterment of the existing pages!
Areas to be pinpointed are things like design, information and website flow.
Part of a smooth website is to feel at home even if you're on a new page.
For the most part, that already has been achieved, but more is planned.
What Now?
As always, the tree comes first, along with Genealogy 101 Lessons, the Newsletter and Updates.
The tree data is an ongoing/never-
What that means is, "It'll still be there when you get to it".
With thousands of people still left to insert, a bit of website streamlining is in order first.
All of the ideas tie together to create one larger and hopefully better website for all users.
With many people at different stages of research and learning, all pages must still flow together.
For those that are confident and want to verify their findings, the Census CD's are recomended.
What To Expect?
The next several months should show some minor tweaks that will be easily used.
Many may seem so minor you'll wonder why they're even mentioned-
Probably the biggest noticable changes will be the right side column links and the main/home page.
The right side column links are more a webmastering problem than a user issue.
Right now, each of the quicklinks seen are individually made, then copied to each page.
Each time a new page is added, so is a new quicklink...To each page...Very time consuming.
The goal is to make them all update easily, and all at once.
Thereby freeing up more time to work on additional pages or the tree.
Additionally...
The main page is being viewed often, but various spellings of our name aren't sure it's for them.
They need to be re-
Though seemingly minor changes to the reader, both improvements can help expand use for many.
Slow and steady as she goes...
Check The Family Tree Report and The Census Report for monthly updates-
When you're ready to add the support to do your own verifying, purchase the census files on CD's.
Because verifying is the key to accuracy, and accuracy is what makes your tree valid.
Good luck, have fun and enjoy!

This also prompted a Header Change/Improvement to the website...
To make it as a reminder and demo, a link was made, and several placements tried.
It became clear that allocating future space and present need disrupted Dad's Census file.
As both dedication to him and demonstration of censuses, it resides now at the top of each page.
Sometimes, it may take days and days just to make a very small item work properly on the web.
With each improvement comes much "Behind the scenes" work and a real sense of accomplishment.
So this is the where even minor adjustments get to shine in the spotlight for their 15 minutes of fame!
Genealogy 101 Layout...
A small but helpful change made to the Genealogy 101 pages!
There's no telling which lesson people will find first on the internet.
So a new link on each page has been added to go back to all lesson links!
Because this is so importantant, it has also been added to previous lessons.
Normally earlier pages are left as published, but readers may find the link useful.
The quicklink back to all lessons is in the words already at the top "Published Monthly".
So useful it's now also done to the Newsletter page sou you can quickly view past newsletters!
As ideas and knowledge grow, so will the site.
Let's have some input!
