Gearing Up... Published Monthly
Focus On Progress...
The newsletter of any website should always focus on it's progress.
With that as a priority for this page, a quick glimpse each month is provided here.
In depth articles aren't needed, just a "heads up" before they're visable within the tree or site.
What Went On Last Month?
Most of the time spent on the webtree was dedicated toward achieving "uniformity" for all subjects.
The objectives will create a more user friendly/faster aquaintance for users and administrators.
This is an extremely time consuming endeavor, and will hopefully help eliminate missing data.
Some data may not be available, and is therefore left on the list as a reminder of that persons needs.
Though it seems that most of the data would become routine and habitual, reality is quite opposite.
Accidental data omission can result from many factors, and this is so far the best tool to prevent that.
It's also a way of passing on more information to the next owner(s) of the tree for future reference.
What's Planned For This Month?
More of the same! This is due to the high number of subjects in the family tree.
The same list of "data needs" information is copy/pasted to each persons file-
The fact that so much time is being allotted signifies how important it is and its value to the tree.
Most persons never see the effort involved "behind the scenes" and take the information for granted.
This is simply the initial listing of basic data to prove existance and connections to other subjects.
In depth studies are not planned for, but basic summations will apply as necessary when called for.
This will continue on throughout the month until each member is brought to an even starting point.
Any new members discovered during the normal course of executing ther plan will also be introduced.
How Will These Help Users?
User friendly pages are of prime concern here to allow for the quick learning of website functions.
Having similar information for each individual helps toward a more speedy understanding of the site.
The primary reason for creating this method is to help insure that nothing is forgotten.
Information missed can be costly in terms of time spent having to re-
Additionally, it should help get individuals cleared properly for listing at a much faster overall rate!
Having a list of the individuals known needs helps admin know precisely what to spend the time on.
A search of alternative surname spellings are included for early members.
Since earlier records come in many forms, sources and methods vary widely on this.
